Style is very much a part of the game of golf because looking good in the right outfit is just as important as the scores. As with any style, there’s always the need for it to evolve if the sport is to remain fun and interesting. Loudmouth Golf (, Bogey Pro (, Golf Knickers (, and Go Fore Broke ( are such golf attire companies that are taking the sport of golf to a unique level with a certain appeal that’s comfy and quite eccentric on the big screen/green. Men and women who enjoy golf will certainly appreciate the kind of lavish polos, hats, visors and other fun items at stellar prices that these companies are offering, and trust us when we say that some of these items will have people talking and maybe even distracting them from your poor score if you shoot one.

Are there any golfers in the house? If so, I have some great shirts to tell you about. Obviously you to look your best when hitting the course! So what do you think of when you think of golf wear? I immediately think of preppy polos! If you aren’t the preppy type, you can still wear a nice relaxed fit polo. That’s where the Go Fore Broke company comes in! For an affordable price you can own some of the cutest and most comfortable polos you’ve ever come across! Just ask my friend Betty Bite from Bites Review You Can Use, she used to golf all the time with her father and these polos are some of the most comfortable she has ever worn!

Go Fore Broke founder Verby Nix stops by #ConversationsLIVE

Conversations Live Radio with host Cyrus Webb

by Marc S. Boriosi, October 23, 2014

Verby Nix, the founder and creator of "Go Fore Broke", a popular new golf attire company that has been featured at the Emmys and other high profile celebrity events, is unlike anyone you will ever meet. Nix is living the American Dream! He is a proud single father raising two teenage children and two young adults in college, and started his new growing brand by taking a leap of faith, which he hopes inspires others to also follow their dreams.

The Levity Ball sat down with Nix to discuss his brand, his life and how he has gained so much positive feedback from countless celebrities and athletes since he first launched. (Tiger Woods, you better read this!)¡

When did you first "know" that you wanted to get into the fashion industry with your brand "Go Fore Broke"?

At a young age I have always wanted to be my own boss, to be in the fashion industry that happened in 2004. Me and a couple of friends were kicking around the idea of coming up with different logos and making better quality items for less.

We love the name! What is the meaning behind "Go Fore Broke"?

Go Fore Broke means a lot of things, but for our company it stands for "No matter how minor or powerless you might feel anyone can achieve great things by continuously putting in steady, persistent effort and exerting one's self to the utmost. By stepping out in faith believing in what you can't see but believe it is done."

Who were some of your role models growing up?

Pamela Skaist, Daymond John & Ralph Lauren.

What has been the hardest thing you've gone through since starting your company?

Besides getting the initial capital, getting my name out there trying to make my name Go Fore Broke a brand name.

Have you found your shirts have made you personally a better golfer?

My game itself no, but the way I feel when I play 100% YES, most definitely.

What do you feel sets your brand a part from others?

Keeping the price down so that everyone can afford the product and the quality of the merchandise is on the top of the list. My logo is what sets this off, everyone loves it.

How/where can people buy your items currently?

Currently you can find us online at:

What was it like to see celebrities take a liking to your attire?

It's great seeing celebrities in my attire. Their faces light up when they see the logo and the quality of the material.

What would you like to be remembered for as a person?

Giving people a great quality product and giving back to the community any way I can.

What is your advice to others looking at getting into the fashion industry?

Know what your dream entails, believe in what you want to do, stick with it no matter what anyone says.

How important is it to you that more and more people these days follow their dreams, rather than stay in a job they don't like?

It is very important to follow your dream! That is what the USA is built on, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, Colonel Sanders and many more these people did not fail, they found it was better to be themselves.

Where do you see yourself and company in five years from now?

I see myself and my company in five years will be a growing, big-dollar business. My brand will be all over the world from the PGA to LPGA tours.

Fifth Annual Emmy Style Lounge & Party

It's becoming tradition! Doris Bergman throws a party and celebs show up! This week, in honor of the 66th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Bergman hosted the Fifth Annual Emmy Style Lounge & Party at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood.

Considered one of the hottest tickets in town, the invitation-only event was hosted by MD Sun Skin Care and presented by Gerard Cosmetics & Whitening Lightning.

The lavish event, for those lucky enough to snag an invitation, honored the television industry's Emmy-nominated actors, former Emmy winners, presenters, stylists and industry VIPS.

Gifts and services were provided by: Jones & Rose, IdefyneMe Inspirational T's, Go Fore Broke Sportswear, Telic Footwear, "My Saint, My Hero". Radar Watches, Nature's Flavors, Twisted Silver, Perch Jewelry, Bon Bon Home & Garden, Honest Tea, Spongelle, Art Lewin Bespoke Executive Clothiers....

Go Fore Broke - I wish this stylish golfing attire had been around when I played in tons of celebrity sporting events, like golf and tennis tournaments. My playing was so bad that I needed to dazzle everyone with my wardrobe! I especially liked the tee with the slogan "Exerting oneself to the utmost", because that's what I do for this e-zine on a daily basis! I guess that means you don't even have to be an athlete to wear this line.
